What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Aide Part-Time position at St. Louis University High?
Job Summary:
- The Environmental Services team member will clean and maintain the school facilities. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs cleaning of floor and wall surfaces in designated areas by washing, sweeping, dusting,
- vacuuming or mopping with specified cleaning agent; remove spillage by wet mopping or
- wiping; Attention to detail.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, cafeteria and other designated spaces.
- Maintains a neat and orderly environmental service closets. Responsible for cleaning of such
- equipment after use.
- Assists in examining school for possible safety hazards; reports deficiencies to supervisor.
- Assists with event set up and tear down.
- Transport and empty trash by depositing at specified collection points.
- Remain energetic and motivated to support the success of a growing service.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and visitors at school while remaining
- professional and courteous.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
