St. Lucie Battery & Tire is seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL A Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position plays a crucial role in our company's operational success, ensuring timely delivery and transportation of goods to our clients and between our locations.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
- Load and unload cargo
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Inspect truck before and after the trip
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents, or violations
- Valid CDL A license
- 3 years’ work experience as a CDL A driver
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- High school diploma
- Hazmat endorsement not required, but preferred
