The St. Lucie County Fire District is currently accepting employment applications for Firefighter/Paramedics and/or Firefighter/EMTs currently in Paramedic School.

In order to be considered for this position, the Fire District will collect the following information:
Required at the time of applying:
1. Valid Firefighter Certificate of Compliance.** Required **
2. Valid EMT Certification** Required **
3. Valid Paramedic Certification ** Required only if Paramedic **
4. Valid BLS CPR Card (ACLS for Paramedic)
5. EVOC Certificate
6. State of Florida Department of Highway Safety Division of Driver License’s 7 year driving history report, available at any driver license facility and some Clerk of Court or Tax Collector’s offices that offer the service.
7. Tobacco affidavit - Notarized (Will be available on the website).
8. Statement and Signature – Notarized (Will be available on the website).
9. Authorization to release records – Notarized (Will be available on the website).
10. Background Authorization Form – Will be available on the website
11. Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure Form – Will be available on the website
12. DD214 (when asserting Veterans’ Preference).
13. Must be 18 years or older to apply.

First (1st) Year Potential Compensation:
- State Certified Firefighter/EMT in Paramedic School - Upon hire $52,988.62
- State Certified Firefighter/Paramedic - Upon hire or certification after hire $ 61,879.38.
- State Certified Firefighter/Paramedic - If released by the District’s Medical Director, by your 12-month anniversary, $66,829.78.
