This position is non-essential and is not required to report to duty before, during, or immediately after a civil emergency. SUMMARYResponsible for the overall management of body worn camera records. This includes reviewing, redacting, dissemination, public records requests, disposition and purging, in accordance with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes and the State of Florida General Records Schedule GS2 for Law Enforcement, Correctional Facilities and District Medical Examiners. Maintains records and files, while providing general services to the department.

The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.Reviews digital records and related documents for redaction and dissemination in compliance with agency policy and public records laws.Research and reviews digital records classifications to ensure compliance with prescribed procedures and guidelines.Liaison with unit representatives on quality control, workflow operations, and customizations / modifications changes to digital records systems.Generates system records and reviews law enforcement reports to ensure digital records are appropriately flagged and categorized.Works with the State Attorney’s Office (SAO) and other departments regarding the viewing, reproduction, redaction, release, and final disposition of digital records.Performs tasks and other technical functions at the direction of the immediate supervisor or designee.Performs basic record keeping duties, maintains accurate filing of unit records, reports, and documentation.Light keyboard work, general data entry, and the processing of routine unit data are necessary.Makes copies of various records, reports/documentation, and distributes to appropriate entities.Operates office equipment, i.e., computer terminals, printers, copy machines, telephone systems, facsimile machines.Acts as liaison between supervisors, other departments, and outside agencies, gathering and relaying information as needed.Job will include assisting co-workers in support of duties, and completion of unit required job duties.Performs other related duties as required.May be subject to random drug testing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
