What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hairdresser position at St Luke Health Services?
Contracted Position - Pay based on services provided.

The Facility has designated for barber/beauty services for the purpose of enhancing Resident appearance and self-esteem. Licensed professional hair stylists provide hair care services. These stylists are independent contractors and not employees of the Facility. They determine the hours per day of service and the rates to be charged with the approval of the Activity Director. |

Hairdressers supply their needs, i.e. shampoo, permanents, combs, etc. |

Hairdresser is independent in making their appointments for the days that they are scheduled to work here. |

Staff, Volunteers, and/or Hairdresser may escort residents who need assistance to and from their appointments. |

Hairdresser is responsible for cleaning up the room after the last appointment. Hairdresser must carry their own liability insurance and provide a copy of such to the facility. |

At the end of each business day the Stylist presents an accounting of services provided to each Resident, which indicates the services provided, the fee charged and a signature of the Resident. If the resident cannot sign for themselves then Social Work or designee as determined by resident shall sigh for them. The Stylist is paid, in cash, from the Resident Trust Fund and the appropriate amount is then deducted from the Resident's balance.
