What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist- Secretary position at St Luke Lutheran Home?
Qualifications :
Must be able to use Microsoft Office with a reasonable degree of accuracy and speed. Must be able to meet the public with confidence and a pleasing personality. Must have a pleasant telephone demeanor. Must be able to perform clerical tasks and possess and have common knowledge of financial transactions. Must be 18 years of age.
Duties :
Receive all incoming calls on a multiline telephone and be able to transfer these calls to the appropriate person.
Serve as a receptionist to visitors, families, residents and sales persons and be able to direct them to staff or residents in the building.
Perform typing and clerical skills which may be assigned by either the Administrator or Office Manager.
Complete necessary records and forms for new admissions and make directory board changes and resident name plate changes.
Keep up to date addresses for responsible parties of all residents
Bring in mail and sort daily. Distribute mail to appropriate persons.
Receive and prepare receipts for money which is received in payment of residents' charges for their monthly care and other payments due to St. Luke Home.
Receive and prepare receipts and send thank you letters for memorials and any other gift money received.
Keep current the daily census and resident room rosters.
Disburse job descriptions and applications to prospective new employees.
Responsible for ordering and maintaining an adequate supply of office materials and equipment.
Other duties as assigned by the Administrator and Office Manager
