About the Position
St. Luke’s Surgical Center performs multi-subspecialty ophthalmic surgery. Reporting to the OR Supervisor, the surgical scrub technician’s role and responsibility is to provide necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments and supplies during ophthalmic surgery with the surgeon, nurses and staff. As an instrument technician, the role is to clean and sterilize instruments in accordance with AAMI standards.

- The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work in and overseeing our sterile processing department
- Self-motivation, patient focus, with strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with patients, physicians and staff
- Monday through Friday availability
Job Skill & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency is required
- A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical scrub technician in an operating room is preferred.
- Experience in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments preferred
- Must be mobile in a surgery procedure; walking, sitting, standing, bending and stretching
- Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned
