JOB SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner practices medicine in a clinic or hospital setting, under the direction and responsible supervision of a Licensed Physician (MD or DO). The Nurse Practitioner evaluates and monitors health status, performs diagnostic and therapeutic services, provides age appropriate education and counseling for disease prevention, risk reduction and health maintenance and coordinates referrals for specialty care or social service support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Experience: N/ALicensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed or eligible for licensure with the appropriate Minnesota State licensing agency. Certified or eligible for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national professional nursing organization as a CNP in Family. Maintenance of the continuing medical education requirements of a nursing national professional organization. Eligibility for registration as a Nurse Practitioner in Wisconsin may be required. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or MilitaryTraining Network. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) within one (1) year of hire into position.

Additional Information
Will work closely with a stable and approachable physician group doing a mix of observation medicine and ED shifts. New ED. Regional referral center.Estimated hours: 1100-1900 in ED, 2300-0700 in ED observation unit.
Shift length: 8 hour shifts
