Job Description
The Imaging Department at St. Luke's Warren Campus is seeking a Per-diem X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while adhering to radiation protection principles and local, state, and federal standards.
- Identify patients and exams accurately, providing maximum care while evaluating technical quality.
- Maintain technical continuity of care and educate patients on radiological procedures.
- Assist in data gathering and recording for Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available for assigned areas.
- Adhere to downtime procedures to maintain continuity of care.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through in-services and continuing education.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Frequent use of fingers and hands to operate equipment.
- Walking or standing for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Pulling, pushing, and lifting patients up to 300 pounds with assistance.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Education and Training
- Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program or registered/registry eligible.
- Pass registry within 1 year of hire date.
- New Jersey staff must have current State Radiologic Technologist License.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required within three months of hire.
- Ongoing training in department procedures.
