Job Description
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician
Job Specialty : Central Sterile Processing
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 8-Hour Evening, Night Swing / Graves
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Experience : Minimum 1 year (preferably 4 years)
License : Required
Certifications : BLS, CRCST
Must-Have : Experience with DaVinci Cleaning, travel experience is ideal
Job Description :
- Assemble instrument trays with an expectation to assemble 2 trays per hour. Trays are not complex.
- Work primarily involves assembling trays, but may include duties in decontamination and operating sterilizers.
- Common cases include General, Gynecology, DaVinci, Cysto, ENT, Orthopedics, Vascular, Spine, and Lap.
- Disinfecting and sterilizing equipment like Prevac - Steam, Sterrad NX, and 100NX, and using Resert - HLD.
- Participate in a one-week orientation with a preceptor and additional training as needed.
- Work within a team of 6-8 staff depending on the shift. Expectation for flexible scheduling including potential days, swings, and occasional nights.
- Rotational rare on-call needs to meet department requirements for weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
- Follow dress code : hospital-provided scrubs; travelers should bring their own shoes and a lock for their locker.
- Utilize the Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient for charting.
- The facility has a 50-mile radius rule for candidates.
