Certification Details BLS Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Job Details A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of a Certified Surgical Tech to work a 13 week travel assignment. The CST must have 2 years recent experience in Total Joint, Shoulders, knees, and must be certified by NBSTSA. Job Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years experience, prefer at least 1-2 travel assignments. Must be NBSTSA certified. Schedule Information 10 or 12 hour shifts starting at 645a, 1045a, 645pm. Rarely would work an overnight shift, may be asked to work overnights if night call team is on vacation or calls out sick. Weeknight / Call Requirements : Yes – typically 4 hours following a scheduled shift. Weekend / Call Requirements : Yes – 12 hour in-house day shift. Volunteers first then once per month. Holiday / Call Requirements : Yes – 12 hour in-house day shift. Volunteers first then once per month. Call response time : 30 minutes. Unit Specific Information Experience or 'Must have' skills : Must have a minimum of 2 years experience, prefer at least 1-2 travel assignments. Would like someone with broad experience in all cases. Please list what their top 2 strengths / areas are. Is there a manager / Charge Nurse on each shift : Charge on 24 / 7. Floating Requirements : Rarely float but would only to be to nearby surgery centers or possibly to Meridian or Nampa in OR. If experienced with CVOR (robotic thoracic) may float here if there is a need. Scrub Color / Dress Code : Scrubs are provided by the hospital - grey. How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation : Generally 1 week to include general and unit orientation.
