Office Coordinator, Radiation Oncology

Pay rate : $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Coordinates the daily operations of the front office including appointment scheduling, medical record processes, coordinate patient information regarding insurance verification and pre-certification, confirming appointments, ordering supplies, answering telephones, providing customer service, processing mail; coordinating meetings, lunches, and assisting with various projects. Uses judgment in setting priorities to ensure project completion in a timely manner. Assists the Director and Medical Director on collecting pertinent confidential department information for analysis. Assists the Director on overseeing the department operations and will cross cover the business coordinator when needed (i.e., charge entry, review of submitted charges, authorization, and appeals).

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Ability to read, write and communicate in English; bilingual preferred.

Experience:

• At least 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and other database software.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Knowledge of Medical Billing a plus.
