Overview
St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an Application Analyst to join our Patience Access team.
Under minimal supervision, the Application Analyst analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devices to process data.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and modifies data systems.
- Resolves system related problems through appropriate research methods and communication with user department personnel and vendor personnel.
- Analyzes reports in relation to system capabilities
- Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution.
- Prepares detailed program specifications and requirements, identifies required inputs, participates in the design, development, and testing of systems.
- Follows department procedures relative to request tracking, documentation and change control.
- Oversees and implements sound system or device testing strategies; oversees the implementation of required hardware and software components for approved applications.
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 0 years relevant experience
- Licenses/Certifications: None
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Epic’s EHR
- Experience in professional billing, coding, charge capture, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), and/or patient financial experience
- Demonstrated skill in workflow/process design and troubleshooting technology
