Position Overview
As a Quality Performance Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing clinical charts and collecting benchmarked and risk-adjusted data related to surgical outcomes. Your role will focus on identifying opportunities for improvement by conducting literature reviews on evidence-based practices and spearheading quality improvement initiatives. Collaborating closely with Surgeon Champions and leadership, you will play a key role in educating teams and promoting the sustainability of positive clinical outcomes.

What You Can Expect
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt/Salaried
Work Arrangement: Remote with occasional in-office meetings
Schedule: Flexible Monday to Friday, typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; No weekends or holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage deep subject matter expertise to tackle complex challenges and make independent decisions.
- Focus on long-term goals and lead multi-department teams in achieving objectives.
- Coordinate and lead performance improvement initiatives, utilizing quality improvement tools and nursing methodologies.
- Assist in data analysis to identify areas for improvement, set measurable performance goals, and collaborate with staff and leadership to implement and sustain improvements.
- Train, coach, and support teams in applying improvement science to complex issues.
- Play a key role in advancing quality and patient safety efforts that align with organizational priorities.
- Participate in professional development activities and contribute to project evaluation and prioritization.
Qualifications
- Education: BSN
- Experience: 2 year's RN experience required preferably in surgical setting (PACU, Pre-Op, OR, etc.); quality performance improvement or project management experience highly preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: RN license in state of practice; Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or CPHQ certification preferred.
