The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Critical Care Team with Saint Luke’s Physician Group.

Shift Details:

Nights, weekends, and holidays are expected. This role is night shift and schedules may fluctuate based on the needs of the practice.

The Work:

The Advanced Practice Provider works collaboratively with physicians, APP’s, and other multidisciplinary teams.

• Gather objective and subjective data to develop a plan of care for critically ill patients.
• Accurately/concisely presents patient data to physicians during patient rounds.
• Perform accurate physical assessment on critically ill patients.
• Appropriately orders and interpret diagnostic studies in the critical care setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge base of common disease processes seen in the critical care environment.
• Performs ongoing assessment of patient response to plan of care, updates plan of care as needed based on response.
• Accurately documents progress notes, discharge summaries and H&P in timely manner.
• Active participant in quality improvement initiatives in the critical care unit.
• Able to respond and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Able to work in a high paced, demanding environment.
• Displays positive leadership skills amongst the multi-disciplinary team.
• Acquires new knowledge quickly and efficiently.
• Displays effective and clear communication amongst the multi-disciplinary team.
• Thinks pro-actively in approaching patient care and able to anticipate changing needs of patients. Acts to prevent deteriorating patient status.
