Job Description​

• Manage and maintain the surgical schedule, ensuring optimal utilization of operating rooms and resources.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to schedule surgeries, ensuring compatibility with their availability and patient needs.
• Gather and verify necessary patient information, including medical history, insurance coverage, and necessary pre-operative procedures.
• Communicate with patients, providing detailed instructions regarding surgery preparation, including fasting guidelines, medication restrictions, and pre-operative testing requirements.
• Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and accommodate urgent or emergency surgical cases as needed.
• Stay knowledgeable about advancements in surgical techniques, technology, and regulatory changes related to scheduling and patient care.

Skills Preferred

• Previous experience as a surgical scheduler or in a healthcare administrative role is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures, medical terminology, and relevant healthcare regulations.
