  • Unit : MedSurg - 6th Floor
  • 42 Beds
  • Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 5 occasional 1 : 6
  • Common diagnoses include respiratory, GI, and behavioral health
  • Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience
  • Must have EPIC experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
  • Charge Nurse on each shift
  • Virtual Tele techs available

Job Requirements

  • BLS certification required
  • 2 years of MedSurg experience
  • EPIC experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry

    • Schedule Information

  • 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM
  • 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
  • Holiday shifts may be required
  • No block scheduling
  • 3 days of general orientation including EPIC training

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Common titratable drips include heparin, PCAs, morphine drips
  • 1 : 8 nurse aid / patient care tech ratio
  • 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor

    • Additional Details

  • Floating between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit
  • Scrub color : Any clean and professional color
  • Candidates must be outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility
