What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at St. Lukes Nursing Center?

Assist in preparation, serve and delivery of meals and snacks
Assist with daily or schedules, cleaning duties including work areas, tables, appliances, and floors
Assist in dish and utensil washing and clearing including gathering soiled items from carts, trays and dining room area and placing clean items in proper storage areas
Ensure proper storage of left over foods with dates and use by dates
Check all trays for completeness and accuracy or menu and diet preferences before distribution to residents
Perform all daily task in accordance in state guidelines and or as directed by the dietary manager
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and handling
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Previous work in a dietary department or as a dietary aide
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
