OPEN INTERVIEWS for Resident Life Assistant
Tuesday, January 28th * 10am - 2pm
Full Time * Part Time * Per Diem
As a Resident Life Assistant you will assist the Resident Life team providing therapeutic recreation programs and experiences for the pediatric residents of St. Margaret's Center. These experiences are designed to improve each child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional functioning abilities.
St. Margaret's Center, an affiliate of Center for Disability Services, is a pediatric and young adult 94-bed skilled nursing facility, located in Albany, NY. Founded in 1883, St. Margaret's Center is a skilled nursing facility serving medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus. We specialize in providing cutting-edge, long-term, 24-hour intensive medical care in a nurturing and home-like setting.
St. Margaret's Center is a place where infants, children and young adults can learn and grow despite any obstacle. We're focused on creating a full childhood experience for every resident, which includes activities, school, family, and friends in a warm atmosphere that feels like home. Requirements for a Resident Life Assistant
- Must possess the ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year related experience, specifically in providing care and recreational programs to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years old
