What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Assistant, Elementary School (NE) (Part-time) - (2025-2026) - St. Margaret Elementary School, Bel Air Md position at St Margaret School?
The Instructional Assistant, Grade 1 will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help.
Essential Functions
- Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Prepare age-appropriate materials
- Help organize and prepare resources for students
- Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environments within the classroom (ISTE Standards)
- Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
- Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities
- Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with parents
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90 hours certification preferred
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must commit to Catholic School education
Pay Range: $15, Hourly
