Job Description
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is seeking a compassionate and reliable Nursery Worker to provide attentive care for children ages 0-5 during Sunday morning worship services, including special occasions such as Easter. This position requires approximately 2 hours of work each Sunday morning.
As a Nursery Worker, you will create a safe, nurturing environment for children while their parents participate in worship. Responsibilities include caring for children, communicating with parents during drop-off and pick-up, and maintaining a tidy nursery space at the end of your shift.
Responsibilities:
- Provide caring, engaging supervision for children ages 0-5.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children under your care.
- Communicate with parents at drop-off and pick-up times.
- Clean and straighten the nursery space after each shift.
Requirements:
- Must pass a background check.
- Ability to lift and carry children up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to move around to care for and interact with children.
- Passion for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Strong verbal communication skills with both children and parents.
- CPR certification is a plus but not required.
- Safeguarding God’s Children training will be provided.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Sundays from 9:15 AM to 11:45 AM, additional hours may be required for special church events.
- Work Location: In-person at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Beaumont, TX.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
