What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher, Science, Middle School (EX) (2025-2026) - St. Mark School, Catonsville MD position at St. Mark School (Catonsville)?
The Middle School Science Teacher will provide the students a comprehensive academic experience using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland Science curriculum for grades 6-8. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, 10-month teaching position.
Essential Functions
- Maintains high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
- Plans and implements instructional programs with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and State of MD Standards.
- Creates an instructional environment conducive to learning.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of students' progress and development in a timely manner.
- Communicated standards, achievements, and deficiencies to students and parents through email, phone calls, conferences, and electronic grade book.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- MSDE Certification or the willingness to obtain certification is required.
- Classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Proficient in using a variety of technology.
Pay Range: $45,000 – 50,000, Annualized
