St. Mary Academy – Bay View seeks a qualified individual to work with faculty and staff to assist in our Early Childhood program for the 2025-2026 school year. The candidate must enjoy being with children and support the coordination of all aspects of the program in a safe and fun environment. Candidates must be committed to an all-girls education and Mercy values.
The Early Childhood Aide position is part-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 23.75 hours per week. The Aide will receive students arriving at school in the Lower School Library in the morning.
Specific Responsibilities For This Position Include
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least one year of relevant experience

- Ensuring children’s safety and well-being
- Being warm, compassionate, and appropriately caring to each child
- Assisting teachers with instructional and other direct services to young students
- Assisting and taking direction as needed
- Being a flexible, open-minded, and self-driven team member
- Being dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Supporting and serving the school’s mission and identity as a Catholic and a Mercy school
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive school environment
- Supervising children and maintaining classroom management
- Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, as needed
Bachelor’s degree preferred
