Title: Admissions Coordinator/Registrar
Reports to: Principal
Location: Sarasota, FL
Classification: Salaried/Exempt
Job Responsibilities
- Greet and direct visitors including escorting students/visitors/families to front office as needed
- Schedule appointments
- Composing, typing communication, filing reports and documents
- Purchase office and school supplies
- Receive cash, check and credit card payments
- Create and make deposits
- Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries
- Participation in staff meetings, professional development, school events and educational activities as determined by the principal.
- Request/ gather/maintain records of new and current students
- First contact for interested families of prospective students
- Schedule and conduct tours
- Manage communications between the school and prospective families and new families including; acceptance/denial, setting up tuition account, required forms
- Assist new families with all of the paperwork required to apply to the school including gathering the necessary documents.
- Make sure new families are aware of scholarship opportunities.
- Registration of new and current students
- Maintain files of Inquiries and Pre-enrolled students
- Maintain student cumulative records, staff personnel files and school database
- Communicate with state and county offices regarding student services
- Attend all open houses and parent orientation.
- Other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous related clerical experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge/Use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook and navigating the Internet.
- Attention to detail and able to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with School and Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies, and the general public.
