Teacher Assistant

St. Mary/Vermilion Community Action Agency/Head Start Program is seeking qualified individuals for the following position:

Teacher Assistant

All applicants must possess at a minimum:

High School Graduate

Qualifications:

Must have a Child Development Associate Credential, if not one must be obtained within two program years. Must have one year of direct work experience with young children and possess some knowledge about Early Childhood Education.

St. Mary/Vermilion Community Action Agency has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all agency staff.

Duties:

Responsible for assisting Head Start Teacher in carrying out all assignments relative to planning, implementation, and evaluation of direct and indirect educational and other integrated content area activities in accordance with program policies, administrative procedures, and Head Start Performance Standards.

Must be able to perform all essential duties in accordance with the American Disabilities Act

Must attend staff meetings, parent meetings and all other program meetings as directed.

Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to children and families

Performs other related tasks as required and assigned.
