St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School is a co-educational Episcopal day school located in Tampa, Florida, serving approximately 446 children in Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. Essential Functions:
- General custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, sanitizing, trash and recycle collection, and cleaning classrooms, common areas, bathrooms and other areas
- Preventative maintenance on all rooms and public areas including painting, changing batteries and light bulbs, changing air filters, and other duties as needed
- Maintenance services for the school community
- Set up and cleaning for school events and community activities
- Check in and receive deliveries to the school
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Head of School
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in cleaning and maintenance preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, move desks, tables, chairs and office furniture
- Able to work in a fast-moving environment
- Detail oriented and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Prior knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance preferred
