Job Summary :
The Director of Global Education and AP Psychology Teacher is a dual-role position that combines strategic leadership in global education with high-level teaching responsibilities. This position is vital in shaping students' understanding of global interconnectivity, fostering cultural competence, and providing a robust academic experience through the teaching of Advanced Placement Psychology. Reporting directly to the Associate Head of School, the Director works collaboratively with faculty, administration, and external partners to ensure the School's programs embody its mission to prepare students to be thoughtful, empathetic, and globally aware citizens.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership in Global Education :
- Develop, oversee, and evaluate a comprehensive global education strategy across divisions to ensure alignment with the school's mission.
- Lead the Global Education Coordinators in creating innovative curricula and experiential learning opportunities that deepen students' understanding of global cultures, challenges, and perspectives.
- Manage the Upper School Global Education Certificate program, guiding students in meeting certification requirements, including coursework, service projects, and global travel experiences.
- Stay informed about best practices in global education, integrating them into school programs and sharing insights with faculty and staff.
