What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enviromental Services Crew Leader position at St. Mary's Health Care System?
Position Summary:
The Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of subordinate housekeeping staff, which include Floor Technicians and Area Cleaners. The work typically involves assigning and inspecting the work performed by subordinate personnel to ensure that it meets cleanliness standards; preparing and arranging work schedules to meet daily or changing workloads or to meet demands of special events or special cleaning requests; training staff in proper cleaning methods and the use of cleaning equipment; maintaining an inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies and ordering supplies; ensuring the performance of equipment repairs; maintaining inspection, time and attendance, inventory or cleaning deficiency reports; and resolving routine complaints or problems. Crew Leaders’ may conduct or provide substantial input on performance evaluations, recommend hiring, grant preliminary approval of leave, and resolve routine disciplinary problems.
General Requirements:
Education – A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma is required.
Experience – Experience in the housekeeping/cleaning of large buildings and directing the work of others, preferably in a healthcare setting
1st Shift - Full time (7a.m. - 3p.m.)
