The Risk Management Coordinator, based out of St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Maine, plays a critical role in in assisting the Risk Management Department with clerical duties and assisting the Risk Management Director with the online incident reporting system and other risk management functions.# This person will also be responsible for assisting the Risk Management Director in identifying, assessing, and minimizing risks within an organization. This role involves assisting with Root Cause Analysis presentations, meeting minutes, risk reports and assisting with additional risk management functions. This is an entry level position with opportunity for development and growth in the field of healthcare risk management. Key Responsibilities: Assists in preparing risk management policies at the direction of the Risk Management Director. Assists in updating risk management protocols as needed. Assists in reviewing incident reports from the online incident reporting system and alerts the Risk Director of events based on training. Assists with Patient Relations at the director of the Risk Management Director. Creates risk reports based on information provided by the Risk Management Director Creates RCA/ACA presentations based on information provided by the Risk Management Director Presents the Risk Management/Compliance presentation at General Orientation meetings. Works with all departments of the hospital in a collaborative manner. Other duties appropriately assigned by the Director of Risk Management. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Word programs.
