Summary: The network technician will assist the network engineer in installing, maintaining, and supporting the network
and telecom infrastructure of St. Mary's. Working in a collaborative environment, the network technician is an
IS professional who will assist in optimizing the organization's network leveraging strong technical acumen
and troubleshooting skills. This position will assist in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network
peripheral devices, and other network hardware and software products within out computing environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing and installing computer networks in a healthcare environment.
Perform troubleshooting methods for system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure efficiency of the network.
Assist in testing and configuring software, hardware, and peripheral network devices, including WIFI.
Evaluate network performance.
Under the guidance of the network engineer, assist with installing network switch infrastructure, as well as wireless access points.
Assist telecom with installation and troubleshooting of telecom equipment and peripheries.
Assist network engineer with hardware maintenance.
Participate in the on-call rotation to support the network and telecom areas.
Occasional wiring may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience: HS diploma/GED is required. Associates degree or higher is preferred. NYS drivers license is required
Certifications / Licensure: Network Professional certification is preferred.
Salary : $28 - $36
