The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
Makes rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention.
Straightens utility rooms, linen rooms and pantry as needed.
Assists with meal service, passing trays, and clearing of tables.
Makes beds and tidy up rooms. Passes out clean linen.
Assures ice water is available on the units.
Answers call lights and performs non-nursing duties - reporting to nursing when resident needs hands-on assistance or care from a licensed nurse.
Screens visitors. Responsible for miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to push carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Climb stairs, reach above or below shoulder height.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to get along with residents of various cultures and backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving skills. Provides prompt and efficient assistance.
Must treat residents' information as confidential.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education :
High school diploma/GED preferred. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
