Hiring Salary: $35.70-$46.41
Responsibilities:
Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s): Registered Nurse credentialed from the New York Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
