Job Description :
Provide assistance to the anesthesia department, including preparing medications and maintaining anesthesia equipment.
Monitor quality control and the operation of equipment.
Transport patients to and from the operating room and handle routine patient care tasks.
Clean, check, restock, prepare, and maintain all anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical cases.
Ensure anesthesia machines are present in surgical suites and add specialty equipment and supplies to suite setups.
Assist in equipment troubleshooting and collaborate with the biomedical department to resolve issues.
Partner with the scheduler and unit management team to anticipate anesthesiologists' special needs.
Respond immediately to requests from anesthesiologists during surgical cases.
Assist anesthesiologists during emergencies, difficult intubations, and traumas.
Assist in room turnover and prepare anesthesia equipment for subsequent cases.
Restock anesthesia supplies in the sterile processing department as needed.
Collaborate with other care site staff / departments to support anesthesia supply ordering and inventory management.
Assist in general cleanup in Perioperative Services.
Promote mission, vision, and service behavior standards.
Perform other assigned duties.
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
