Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients and assist with their daily activities. Duties:
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare provider
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Assist in the implementation of care plans and treatment protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as venipuncture and sterile processing
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to proper protocols
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices
- Ability to perform spinal taps and assist with other medical procedures as required
- Strong organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Competency in venipuncture techniques for blood collection
- Ability to ventilate patients using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Knowledge of sterile processing procedures for maintaining a clean environment
