Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent clinical skills, and a dedication to providing compassionate care.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and assess the needs of patients
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and update medical records
- Assist in coding, aliment, ventilate, and manage acute pain
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or developmental disabilities
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Oversee discharge planning and coordinate post-discharge care
Skills:
- Strong clinical skills with knowledge of medical procedures and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and resources available for post-discharge care
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in [state/region]
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
