What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stocker position at St. Mary's Residential Training School?
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The stocker ensures shelves, racks, and bins are stocked with items, in the appropriate area for each home, labels and dates all items, and rotates stock using the first in – first out rule.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. The stocker assists in the unloading of all items ordered for Nutritional Services.
2. The stocker sorts and organizes all items on shelves, racks or bins in the appropriate area.
3. The stocker labels and/or dates all items and ensures they are stored according to established procedures.
4. The stocker rotates stock by date to ensure stock is distributed by the first in first - out rule.
5. The stocker inventories all items routinely and reports low par levels to the supervisor.
6. The stocker assists in the loading of all items being supplied to the homes.
7. The stocker has excellent customer services skills. Greets all staff and clients with a friendly, helpful attitude.
8. The stocker’s hours may vary depending on the delivery of products to the department.
9. The stocker will break down boxes, dispose of trash, and maintain the cleanliness of the storage areas.
10. The stocker practices defensive driving techniques and abides by all policies and procedures regarding the use of facility vans.
11. The stocker adheres to all facility policies and procedures.
12. The stocker responds to all emergencies, disasters, and facility evacuations by providing assistance, supervision, and leadership to clients and staff at St. Mary’s and at the evacuation sites.
13. The stocker performs all other duties as assigned by the Nutritional Services Manager and/or Administration.

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
