The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing tasks involved in the timely receiving, distribution, inventory control, stocking, and ordering of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Compares goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods. Communicates notice of broken or unsatisfactory items that are returned to the Purchasing Clerk. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Performs often repetitive steps necessary to insure that goods and supplies are readily available for use.
