Job Details
The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
In this role, the RN will be responsible for working alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide day-to-day care of children and adolescents, ages 6-18, on an inpatient Adolescent behavioral unit.
The primary diagnoses treated are major depression and ADD / ADHD.
Responsibilities include medication administration and education, daily documentation of patient care, and managing / monitoring behaviors throughout the unit.
The RN will participate in and lead education groups.
Job Requirements
Associates Degree in Nursing required
Valid State of Maine RN license required
BLS certification required
1-3 years previous nursing experience working with adults preferred
At least 1 year previous nursing experience required
CPI Trained
Schedule Information
Candidates must reside outside of a 50 mile radius.
Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
St. Mary's has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13 week contract.
Unit Specific Information
Inpatient Adolescent behavioral unit
