About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12. We also have an 18-22 transition program for young adults with disabilities.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
The licensed school social worker provides direct and indirect social work services to students experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral skill deficits that interfere with their performance in school, and facilitates communication among school, home, and community providers. Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in social work and hold a current social work license with the Minnesota Board of Social Work; required to hold a Tier 3 or 4 School Social Worker license with Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board. FTE: 1.0
Contract: 186 days (plus 2 days of new teacher orientation for new-to-district teachers, the week prior to August 25, 2025)
Salary Range: $46,417-$98,146. For more information, please see the Certified Master Contract 2023-2025. Salary range listed ($46,417-$98,146) is based on the collective bargaining agreement for the current school year, and may increase with the negotiation of the 2025-2027 collective bargaining agreement.
