We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12. We also have an 18-22 transition program for young adults with disabilities.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for working with students with disabilities in an adapted sports environment, meeting the health, behavioral, and physical needs as identified in the goals, supports, or services of the IEP. This position works in support of the bowling team under the direction of the coach, special education teacher, or bus service personnel; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA. Start Date: March 18, 2025
Contract: Seasonal, March 18 through May 9, 2025
Schedule: Tues and Thurs 3:30-5:00pm
FTE: 0.075 (3 hours per week)
Salary & Benefits
Starting Rate: $17.86-$22.29 per hour, depending upon your experience with the district
No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of post-secondary education or successful completion of a valid and reliable formal assessment as identified by the school district or State; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred.
