A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced MedSurg RN for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
Job Requirements
Hold an active BLS and WA License.
Experience or 'Must have' skills : Med / Surg. Ortho preferred.
Schedule Information
Days 0700-1930
NOC 1900-0730
6 week cycles.
Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement : yes
Floating Requirements : Yes. 1st to float
Unit Specific Information
Region III : Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three : St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA.
Additional Details
BLS; Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able to re-add that back in.

Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Orthopedic Patients : Hips, Knees, Shoulders, Spine, fractures General Medical / Surgical – pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, chest pain, Gi Bleed, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, kidney failure, UTI
Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : Yes / Yes
Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes
Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Heparin, Cardizem
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Yes. Yes, monitor techs RNs must be able to read basic strips
Scrub Color / Dress Code : scrubs
Unit / Department specific orientation : EPIC training if not used system within year or fail Sphinx assessment. Online modules. 2 days unit specific orientation
