The principal guides the school community and is committed to the development of the whole child spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.

Spiritual Leadership
- Maintain Decision Focus on the school’s adherence to its mission as a ministry of the Parish
- Uphold the Catholic Identity of the School
- Participate in school liturgies and worship opportunities
- Provide opportunities for and support staff in faith formation
- Ensure school operations and interactions with parish stakeholders reflect the school’s role as a ministry of the Parish

Educational Leadership
- Maintain appropriately licensed and trained school staff
- Ensure teachers receive meaningful feedback aligned with
- requirements of the Catholic Schools Office and the Indiana
- Department of Education
- Ensure Staff are completing essential duties under principal supervision
- Leading staff to strategic instructional decisions based on data, best
- practice, and available resources
- Utilize partnerships and grant sources to support and enhance the instructional programs of the school
Executive Management
- Maintain transparent and timely communication with all stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all school matters per State of Indiana and
- Catholic Schools Office
- Comply and implement the Diocesan Accreditation Process and Initiatives
- Annually review, update, and distribute conduct and discipline policies, school-wide procedures such as the School Handbook, School Calendar, etc
- With the School Secretary and Parish Business Manager, ensure orders and deliveries of all necessary materials, textbooks and supplies
- Work in conjunction with the Pastor and Parish Business Manager on the School Budget
School Culture
- Conduct Regularly scheduled school staff meetings and provide agendas
- Conduct parent meeting(s) as needed
- Oversee the admittance and enrollment of new students, including
- And not limited to the Indiana Choice Scholarship and SGO processes for families
- Conduct student discipline/attendance per guidelines and procedures
- Respond to parent concerns via meetings, phone calls, or email promptly
- Monitor and supervise arrival and dismissal procedures
- Organize and guide School Advisory Board Meeting Agenda
Qualifications
- The Principal should hold (or be eligible for) an Indiana Elementary
- Supervision and Administration License
- Desire for continued personal, spiritual, and professional growth
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively in a diverse community environment, including taking direction when provided
- Knowledge of the Catholic Faith and being a participating Catholic in good
- standing with the Church
- Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
- Ability to work independently to organize and arrange priorities
