Job Summary
Responsible for the performance of timely, accurate, quality clinical laboratory tests and basic clinical laboratory functions.
Appropriate specimen collection, handling, processing and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing.
Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing.
Performance and interpretation of quality control/calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities.
Perform maintenance, calibrations and function checks.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in this laboratory.
Candidate for this position must have availability to work variable day shifts with on-call and rotating weekends.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school as an MLT or CLT required.
