Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Purchaser to manage procurement for our construction, remodeling, and cabinetry operations. This role involves sourcing, ordering, and managing materials and products to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, solution-focused, and ready to contribute to our team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Source, negotiate, and purchase technical products, including complete kitchen cabinet orders, cabinet production parts, materials, and specialty lighting.
- Oversee the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Maintain records of purchases, supplier relationships, and pricing data.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and production teams to forecast material needs and align orders with project timelines.
- Ensure accuracy in detailed cabinet and material orders, including project specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors to address issues and resolve supply chain challenges.
- Process Improvement:
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the procurement process.
- Develop alternative sourcing strategies and solutions to meet company needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within construction, remodeling, or cabinetry industries.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, cabinetry production, and lighting systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Contractor Foreman).
- Ability to multitask, plan ahead, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
