Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leader to oversee and guide a group of children in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate effective classroom management skills. This role is pivotal in fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive atmosphere for students, encouraging their growth and development through various activities.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and engagement.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Provide support to children with special needs, adapting activities to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across different subjects.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare and education.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
- Experience working with children in various capacities such as tutoring, sports coaching, or childcare is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and special education practices is an asset.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to educate effectively in a group setting are essential.
- Previous experience working with students of diverse backgrounds will be beneficial.
Qualifications: MUST HAVE!
- High School diploma or equivalent and currently working toward a Child Development
- Associate (CDA) credential and/or an Associate Degree in early childhood education
- Knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and family involvement
- Early childhood learning experience preferred
