Description of the Position: Assists the Music Organizations staff with daily duties and special projects with a focus on concert and tour production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with updating and formatting tour itineraries, contact lists, and other concert and tour documents
- Research hotel rates and availability for upcoming music tours
- Research restaurants for upcoming music tours
- Maintain organization of workspace and storage areas
- Assist with maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies
- Move equipment and supplies to various locations on campus
- Run errands around campus for music staff and faculty
- Assist the Associate Director of Music Organizations and the Coordinator of Music Organizations with administrative tasks Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Experience with Excel/Word and Google Docs/Sheets
- Ability to focus and be productive in a high-traffic work environment
- Capacity to successfully complete tasks independently, with little supervision
- Ability to collaborate and interact well with staff members on large projects
- Discretion around confidential information
- Ability to stay positive under stress Ability to read music
