Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The Summer Kierkegaard Library Support position provides support to HKL staff and assists researchers from around the world who attend the Kierkegaard Summer Institute. Typically works 30-40 hours per week during library summer hours (8am-8pm daily); must be available to work weekends. This position provides a foundation of work in a professional context, including communication with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., faculty, staff, students, visiting scholars, and community members), as well as general office and library duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with general library tasks, such as shelving books and locating resources
Assist with general office tasks, such as scanning and organizing documents
Serve as first point of contact for library patrons, answering general questions and leading library/campus orientation tours
Assist with various projects, such as updating website or social media, creating flyers, editing documents, compiling reports, setting up for events, and processing donations
Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Required:
Previous experience in a library, office or campus department
Able to work independently and as a team player with minimal supervision
Comfortable working with diverse groups
Preferred:
Familiarity with Catalyst, Google Docs, WordPress, and/or Canva
Knowledge of or interest in philosophy, especially Kierkegaard
Danish or other Scandinavian language skills
