Pay Rate :
2024-25 : Standard CBWS Hourly Rate ($15 / hr).
2025-26 : Specialized CBWS Hourly Rate ($18.71 / hour). This pay rate aligns with the pay scale for Northfield Public Schools and is subject to an annual wage increase.
IMPORTANT : STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STATE OR FEDERAL WORK AWARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY BASED WORK STUDY (CBWS) POSITIONS. Student CBWS work eligibility is subject to change due to work award re-determinations over the summer. This means even students who were a chosen applicant for the position may be ineligible to work if they do not have a state / federal work award come Fall 2025. Description of the Position :
The Middle School Youth Center (MSYC) Site Assistant or assists other club leaders by creating and implementing curriculum as well as organizing resources for successful program outcomes. The site assistants will oversee set-up, clean-up and student attendance. They will also enforce program behavioral rules and safety guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Work hours are on-site, at Northfield Middle School between 3 : 00 pm - 4 : 45 pm, Monday through Thursday. Positions start in mid-September and programming runs through mid-May. We do offer flexible scheduling to meet the needs of your semester schedule.
