Description of the Position : (Purpose of the Position)
The Graphic Design Specialist will be part of the Student Operations Team (or Ops Team), which supports the administrative, data, marketing and technology needs of the office. Each member of the team will specialize in a specific area of operations and contribute to other efforts of the team as needed.

Create visual designs to advertise Piper Center events and resources for use in print materials and the Piper Center website using Adobe Illustrator and other design toolsAdhere to Piper Center brand standardsWork with Piper Center staff to understand staff expectations and event audiencesContribute to marketing strategyAs members of the broader Operations Team, Graphic Design Specialists may also :
Update and edit the Piper Center web pages using WordpressPhotograph the occasional LinkedIn headshotOperations Team members are expected to work 6 hours per week.
Qualifications : (Education / Experience / Skills)
We are looking for the following traits and skills :
Proficiency with InDesign. Ideal candidates will also have experience with some of the following : Photoshop, Illustrator, DSLR cameras, Wordpress, basic HTMLDemonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlinesAbility to work well independently and to collaborate effectively with staffExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow throughStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong work ethic and reliabilityDesire to work in a professional office settingPositive attitude and interest in the Piper Center's programs and resources
