Position: Faith Formation Leader (DRE) K-6th Grade
Reports: Pastor
Overview: The Faith Formation Leader plans, integrates, implements, oversees, and evaluates the religious education and Sacramental preparation for K-6th grades, with a primary focus on catechetical formation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Religious Education budget and make budget requests to the Finance & Operations Executive in keeping with budgeted expenses
- Collect, account for, and turn in all monies with adequate documentation
- Recruit, lead and supervise the formation team
- Develop and coordinate religious training and education of children
- Develop and coordinate religious sacraments and social programs
- Develop and coordinate programs for liturgical celebrations with the Pastor and any other assigned persons over the programs
- Organize the religious education office and maintain accurate records
- Put out a weekly newsletter for the parents
- Coordinate supper program for students and catechists before classes
- Prepare and maintain adequate resources (ex. classrooms) and materials
- Ensure the building is adequately secured
